Anodized aluminum comes in many bright colors.  The colors for wire wrapping are different than the colors I use for maille, so make sure you're looking at the right one.  Also, I use three different types of rubber in my maille creations:  EPDM (a polymer/stretchy plastic that is very durable), neoprene (also very durable), and a glow-in-the-dark rubber that has not shown itself to be very durable, and therefore I use it only in places where it will not take any stress.
