I love copper. Its warm hue, its weight, its ability to conduct energy. Copper is reportedly wonderful for arthritis sufferers and many of my customers buy my copper bracelets for this reason. These are made with solid, uncoated copper rings. I sometimes use rings made of wire that is square in cross-section; these rings have a gorgeous diamond-cut look when woven.
They will tarnish. If you like that look, great (I can accelerate the process by oxidizing it if you do). If not, all copper comes with a Lifetime Care policy. You can mail it back to me with a SASE and I'll send it back new-penny bright (you'll be amazed at the difference). I polish them shiny in a tumbler (gemstones removed) with a burnishing compound.
Copper may turn your skin green; some say that this means it's doing its job. However, I've found that for some reason the chainmaille bracelets I make do so less than the bare copper wire I buy for wire wrapping. Try it; it's guaranteed. If you don't like it you can return it.
